DREW Sloan won the Ballymena Towers Pool League’s annual Tommy Nelson Memorial trophy last week.

The Michelin player won a thrilling final, coming from 4-2 down to beat Gary Ormandy by five frames to four.

Preliminary Round: Richard Turtle 2, Paul McAuley 3; David Gillespie 1, Derek Dunlop 3.

First Round: Chris Gordon 2, George McCullough 3; David Armstrong 3, Brian Hanna 1; Richard Campbell 0, Gary Ormandy 3; Paul McAuley 2, Dee Irwin 3; Adam Gordon 3, Derek Dunlop 1; Phil Houston 2, Ian Boal 3; Drew Sloan 3, Ritchie Irwin 1; Justin Kilpatrick 0, Gareth Rowe 3.

Second Round: George McCullough 3, David Armstrong 0; Gary Ormandy 3, Dee Irwin 2; Adam Gordon 0, Ian Boal 3; Drew Sloan 3, Gareth Rowe 0.

Semi Final: George McCullough 3, Gary Ormandy 4; Ian Boal 0, Drew Sloan 4.

Final: Gary Ormandy 4, Drew Sloan 5.

LEAGUE MEETING

The next Ballymena Towers Pool League meeting will take place on Tuesday, January 8, at 8pm in Michelin Athletic Club.

All teams to attend to receive new fixtures for second half of league which begins on Tuesday, January 15.
