BALLYMENA United's players face what will be almost an alien concept to them this weekend - playing a match!
With temperatures looking likely to continue to dip below zero across the Province, yet more Carling Premiership matches are likely to be off this Saturday.
But the Sky Blues are almost certain to be in action for the first time in three weeks as they are scheduled to face Crusaders on the artificial 4G surface at Seaview (3pm).
"I had agreed with Crusaders a couple of weeks back that we would be able to train at Seaview and we're going to do that on Wednesday night," manager Roy Walker told Times Sport.
"We've trained on a few similar surfaces over the holidays, at Jordanstown and at Olympia Leisure Centre.
"I wouldn't really be a huge advocate of these surfaces for playing matches on.
"I was over at Blackburn recently doing my Pro Licence and their physio was telling me that the clubs alters its training when they are using their 4G pitch as they see quite a lot of lower back injuries and other complaints.
"But it will be good to hopefully get a game under our belts, especially with the Irish Cup coming up the following week," added Roy.
The manager will be without the suspended trio of Andy Smith (six games), Aidan Watson and Chris Ramsey (one match each) for the trip to Seaview, while new striker James McLaughlin is sidelined by suspension until the Reserves play three matches.
Seven Towers Supporters' Club transport to Saturday's match leaves Henry Street car park at 2pm. This will be preceded by the Towers AGM in the Most Bar at 1.30pm when all members are asked to attend.
The Seven Towers club also extends sympathy to member Bertie Rock following the death of his brother Willard.
The Paramount Supporters' Club's January table quiz has been brought forward to Friday, January 22.
