Adrian Morrow, Festival director for Dalriada says: “Dalriada is one of Ireland’s biggest festivals and as we are primarily a family focused festival, we have a fun packed programme for all the little ones too. That includes the appearance of Marshall and Chase from Nickelodeon’s PAW Patrol which has proven to be a huge hit.

“It’s a real privilege to partner with Europe’s premier indoor adventure centre, We Are Vertigo. Alongside our famous highland games and strongman spectacle we also have a horse stunt show, a motocross display and of course our world famous sheep fashion show and dog companion show, so we really have a varied programme on offer for all the family.

“As 2016 is The Year of Food and Drink in Northern Ireland, we are delighted that Frankie and Benny’s have also come on board to teach kids to make their famous pizzas and we’ll also have lots of other exciting food and drink stands selling local produce.”

The eclectic music element of the festival includes numerous music stages featuring some fantastic acts, a dance hall to include Irish Dancing, Highland Dancing and Street Dance and a comedy stage which will feature some great comedians.

Adrian said: “This is the sixth annual Dalriada Festival and year on year the event gets even bigger and better. Almost 30,000 people attended our festival in 2015 and we are confident that we’re going to attract even more footfall this year, with such a strong festival line-up.”

Other exciting attractions throughout the two days include the Country Antrim Pipe Band Championships, a craft village, vintage tea tent, high ropes and zipline, vintage and military display, dinosaur enclosure, quad barrel tours, castle tours and much, much more.

The community of Glenarm will take up the baton from 18 th – 23 rd July and will host an action-packed programme of sporting events and other entertainment including a duathlon, triathlon, super-endurocross, rowing regatta and mountain bike enduro race.
