Now in its 10th year, this fabulous floral event is a firm fixture in the horticulture calendar.

The gardening team at Glenarm Castle have planted thousands of tulips, which will provide a colourful and spectacular display.

Amongst the tulips on display this year are Monte Carlo a rich yellow peony-flower tulip with delicious scent, Black Hero a dark peony flower, Orange Princess and fringed tulips called Flamingo and Barbados.

James Wharry, Head Gardener at Glenarm Castle, says: “We are all very excited about the forthcoming Tulip Festival and as the festival is celebrating its 10th anniversary milestone, we’ve really pushed the boat out to ensure that this is the best year yet, with a record number of tulips of mixed varieties in bloom. The floral display is going to be awe-inspiring and extremely colourful.”

This year’s event will also offer a diverse range of local crafts, music, food and children’s entertainment as well as an exhibition of paintings by local artist Donal McNaughton.

Glenarm Castle will also be open to the public for guided tours on Bank Holiday Monday from 11.30am – 4.30pm and

Glenarm Castle’s famous Tea Room will be open all weekend.

Ticket prices are £5 for Adults, £5 for Snr Citizens and free Admission for Children Under 12.

Gates Open from 10am on Saturday, April 30, 11am on Sunday, May 1 and 10am on the Bank Holiday Monday.
