Maria Small, fundraising manager said: “Macmillan is absolutely delighted to have once again been chosen as the charity partner of Fairhill Shopping Centre.

“We can’t wait to start working alongside the staff, traders and customers once again.

“Fairhill has been at the heart of Ballymena for 25 years now and we wanted to help celebrate that fact with some new and exciting fundraising events and activities. Having previously worked with Fairhill, I personally know the fantastic support and generosity that its customers, staff and traders show to local charities and I know that we can count on their continued support for our new charity partnership.

“All of the money raised from this partnership will be used to provide Macmillan nursing hours to local people and their families who are affected by cancer.”

Natalie Jackson of Fairhill said: “Fairhill was searching for a cause that we felt is present in so many people’s lives and is close to so many people’s hearts. We are delighted to be partnering with MacMillan Cancer Support and representing them as our ‘Charity of the Year.

The work carried out by the charity is admirable and fits perfectly here. We will engage in as many ways as possible and hopefully can make a difference during the year-long partnership.”
