Leah Bracknell, who starred in television soap, ‘Emmerdale’, has revealed she has terminal lung cancer.

The former actress played Zoe Tate in the popular soap from 1989 to 2005.

Ms. Bracknell revealed she had terminal lung cancer online.

Both Ms. Bracknell and her partner have set-up a GoFundMe page called ‘Leah’s Cancer Fund’ to help pay for specialist treatment in Germany that will hopefully prolong her life.

A target of £50k has been set and at the time of publishing this article Ms. Bracknell had raised more than £28k.

Ms. Bracknell, whose real name is Ali, is now a yoga teacher.

“The bad news is that I have been diagnosed with lung cancer, stage 4. In their opinion, that means it’s terminal, not curable, not operable . A fairly brutal and bleak diagnosis but one I am determined to challenge and see from the perspective of “a glass half full”, going against a lifetime of pessimism, negativity and fear,” said Ms. Bracknell on her GoFundMe page.
