THE big freeze at the weekend ruled out all Northend United Youth's fixtures, after early morning pitch inspections.
However, the teams hope to get back to competitive action this Saturday, January 9, when all five teams have away fixtures.

Northend teams have some mouth watering Cup ties coming up.

In the NIBFA competition, the U11s travel to play Limavady U
nited Youths and the Northend U14s entertain Glentoran in the same competition on 16th January.

The Northend U10s travel to play Lurgan Town Boys in the inaugural George Best Cup on 9th January.

All this comes on top of the U13s recent entertaining match against Cliftonville in the NIBFA Cup.

CHILD PROTECTION TRAINING

All coaching staff are reminded that the BEAIYL sponsored Child Protection Training Course is now rescheduled for Wednesday, January 6 at Ballymena Rugby Club Premises (6.30pm – 9.30pm).

All Committee and coaching staff are requested to attend.

In a busy week for the Northend Coaching Staff, a Managers’ Meeting has been arranged for Thursday, January 7 at the Michelin Club (7pm). All teams must be represented.

COMMUNITY PROJECT

January 2010 sees the start of Northend United Youth’s Working in the Community Initiative, wherein team coaches will be attending local Primary Schools and Youth Clubs to pass on soccer skills training courses.

TRAINING WEAR

New training wear is now available for the U10, U11 and U13 teams and can be collected from John Devlin on 07919056834. The kit comprises off a rain coat, jersey, shorts and socks.
