A show spokesperson said: “Daffodils were late into bloom and are only now reaching their peak and this is your only opportunity to see such a display locally.”

As well as the numerous daffodil classes there are classes devoted to foliage and flowering pot plants, cacti and succulents, cut flowers and floral art.

The Schools and Young Persons Section provides an opportunity for young people to express their creative talent in classes with artistic and practical gardening themes. A popular class with both exhibitor and visitor invites the exhibitor to create a creature made from vegetables and/or fruit.

Afternoon teas will be available and an extensive range of garden, house and greenhouse plants grown by members will be available for purchase at bargain prices.
