Diamond date for Dan Reed

Dan, who is from Portland, Oregon, last played The Diamond with his full band to a sell out crowd back in March.

However, this time it will just be Dan with his acoustic guitar and piano.

These shows are extremely intimate and have people travelling from all over Ireland, as once again, The Diamond is Dan's only Irish show.

During the late 80s and early 90s, Dan had massive success selling millions of albums, spawning several Top 10 hits including Rainbow Child, Come Back Baby, Stronger than Steel and Tiger in a Dress, and toured the world with artists such as The Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi and Def Leppard.

In 1996, after becoming disillusioned with the rock industry, Dan cut off all his hair and called time on the band.

For over 10 years, Dan then worked in television, as well as owning and running his own nightclub in his home town.

The lure of the music business was too much, and Dan returned this year with a new album Coming Up for Air, followed by tours across Europe and America.

A new single, Closer, is set for release in September and Dan's diary is fully booked until the end of the year.

Dan's shows at The Diamond are really special so come and see that all the fuss is about.
