Diamond Rock date for Dan Reed

Dan, who is from Portland, Oregon, last played the Diamond back in December, but this gig will be a lot different - for the first time in over 20 years, Dan will be bringing his band with him, so the show promises to be more rockier than his previous visits.

This will be Dan's first full band electric show anywhere in Ireland since January 1990, when he played the King's Hall in Belfast and The Point in Dublin, with Bon Jovi.

During the late 80s and early 90s, Dan had massive success selling millions of albums with his band The Dan Reed Network.

They released three albums spawning several top 10 hits including Rainbow Child, Come Back Baby, Stronger than Steel and Tiger in a Dress, and toured the world with artists such as The Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi and Def Leppard.

In 1996, after becoming disillusioned with the rock industry, the constant partying and drugs, Dan cut off all his hair and called time on the band.

For over 10 years, Dan has been working in television as well as owning and running his own nightclub in Portland.

But now he’s back with a new album Coming Up for Air which is due to be released in May 2010.

Joining Dan in his band for this European tour is a real who's who of the music industry - on guitar and backing vocals is Rob Daiker, also on guitar is Tommy Denander, Robert Ikiz on drums and percussion, Bengan Jonasson on bass and backing vocals and Brooke Lizotte on keys, with Dan on lead vocals and acoustic guitar.
