The ships form the Standing NATO Mine Counter-Measures Group ONE and are currently under command of Lithuanian Commander Giedrius Premeneckas and his flagship, LNS JOTVINGS. Commander Premeneckas says the international crews are looking forward to their Belfast visit after a very busy exercise called JOINT WARRIOR.

“I look forward to visiting the Great City of Belfast after what has been a very challenging and beneficial exercise with our Royal Navy partners and the various international forces participating,” said Commander Premeneckas.

The task force will be in Belfast from Friday 17 October until Tuesday, during which time they will be welcomed at City Hall by the Lord Mayor and will welcome organised visits from a number of groups including cadets and the emergency services.

Unfortunately they will not be open to the general public.
