The 24,000 sq ft entertainment and multi-purpose conference facility has created 60 full and part-time jobs.

Welcoming the opening, Shamus Jennings, Culzean Estates Ltd, owners of Junction One Retail and Leisure Park, said: “The opening of Omniplex at Junction One really strengthens the leisure offering across the site and we’re particularly pleased that summer completion deadlines have been beaten to open in time for the busy Easter holidays.

Paul Anderson, Chairman, Omniplex Holdings NI Ltd, added: “At Omniplex Cinemas we pride ourselves on being at the forefront of pioneering new technology and providing our patrons with the most advanced cinema facilities in Europe.

“The new Omnimaxx Theatre due to open on May 20 with a screen size of over 21 metres wide and 8 metres high, will be the largest in Ireland and the unique curved infinity shape of the screen brings a visual impact unseen anywhere else on the island.
