Piping Solo Competitions in Cullybackey

This annual solo event, now in its 27th year, is as always the first date on the pipe band solo calendar indicating that the new season is fast approaching and is seen by many as a precursor to the Ulster solos traditionally held one week later.

The entries have been flooding in and this year promises to be an exciting event with bands represented from across the province and Scotland in all the grades.

Piping and drumming champions including current world champions will be preparing to claim the prestigious titles on offer and as always the competition is expected to be fierce, not least in the tenor solo section.

Admission is £5 and refreshments & catering will be provided once again in the college canteen.
