Planetlove ready to rock Shane’s Castle

NORTHERN Ireland’s biggest commercial radio station, Cool FM, has just confirmed it will be broadcasting live from Planetlove WKD 2011 festival at Shane’s Castle on Saturday, September 10.

The station will broadcast a live feed from the festival, airing vox pops from revellers, interviews with DJs, and exclusive site and backstage action.

It is the first time Cool FM is broadcasting live from the annual dance music marathon, which sees over 60 of the globe’s top DJs and producers performing across six arenas over 11 hours.

Programme Controller with Cool FM, Eddie West, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be part of this year’s Planetlove WKD festival.

“Cool FM is hosting the Outdoor Stage and will also be bringing the sounds of the annual festival to listeners across the country with our live broadcast.

This year’s Planetlove WKD festival returns to Shane’s Castle in Antrim on Saturday, September 10 and runs from 2pm to 1am.

International DJs flying in for the 11-hour, multi-arena, festival include Dutch trance sensation Ferry Corsten, German megastar ATB, American duo Gabriel & Dresden, and Belgium’s 90s oldskool dance troop; Technotronic.

Other artists performing include Marco V, Lisa Lashes, Judge Jules, Mystery Jets (DJ Set), Alex Kidd, Activator, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Organ Donors, Sharkey, Claudia Cazacu, Kutski, W&W, and many more.

Arenas include the festival’s showpiece LOVE Arena, Goodgreef Xtra Hard Arena, Cool FM Outdoor Stage, The Ultimate Oldskool Arena, Love at Home Arena in association with TFI, and VIP Area,

The special Love at Home Arena plays host to Planetlove WKD’s first ever foam party, while the Ultimate Oldskool Arena sees the last ever performance from oldskool/hardcore favourite Sharkey.

Other attractions at this year’s Planetlove WKD festival include licensed bars, funfair, and the much-loved festival village complete with shops, stalls, and food vendors.
