Tennent’s UnTapped finalists to play at Tennent’s Vital Bar

WITH just one week to go until Tennent’s Vital opens its doors, Tennent’s Lager today reveal that finalists from this year’s Tennent’s UnTapped will play a series of intimate, acoustic performances at the Tennent’s Bar at Tennent’s Vital 2012.

Earlier this year, Tennent’s Lager launched a search to find Northern Ireland’s finest, unsigned talent. Over 250 acts applied before Tennent’s Lager’s panel of expert judges whittled down a shortlist of sixteen of Northern Ireland’s brightest stars.

Eleven of these acts will take up residence in the new-for-2012 Tennent’s Bar where fans can rest up their dancing feet, grab a pint and check out some of the freshest sounds coming out of Northern Ireland.

The Tennent’s Bar will play host to The Jepettos, Havana House Party, Pretty Child Backfire, Mojo Gogo, A Northern Light and Master and Dog on Tuesday, August 21.

Wednesday, August 22 will see FutureScope, Rachel Austin, Two Glass Eyes, Peter McVeigh and Best Boy Grip take their share of the limelight, with each playing a 20 minute acoustic set.

The Tennent’s Bar is open to all ticket holders of Tennent’s Vital, as well as giving festival goers the chance to enjoy comfy seats, top sounds and waiter service, everyone who enters the will have the chance to win exclusive prizes from the Tennent’s Vital Acts of Kindness team.

The team will also be roaming the festival giving fans the chance to win some amazing on site experiences and exclusive prizes.

US rock behemoths Foo Fighters headline Day 1 on August 21 with The Black Keys, The Cribs, The Minutes and Trucker Diablo.

Day 2 sees The Stone Roses bring their all-conquering come back tour to Tennent’s Vital with Florence + The Machine, Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Maverick Sabre and Gerard i2 also gracing Boucher Road Playing Fields on August 22.
