‘Eye watering’ - cost of car parking blasted
The cost of parking in private car parks in town centres is ‘eye watering’ according to members of a business delegation from Ballymena.
Representatives from Ballymena Borough Chamber of Commerce and Industry have met with Glyn Roberts from NIIRTA (Northern Ireland Independent Retailers Association) at Stormont to help lobby for better, more flexible town & city-centre car parking structures.
Those attending were Glyn Roberts (NIIRTA), Danny Kennedy MLA (Minister for Regional Development (DRD), Mayor Audrey Wales MBE, Alan Egner (Business Sales and Marketing Manager for Power NI), Rodney Kernohan & Chris Wales (Ballymena Chamber of Commerce).
