In the 12 months since opening, the shop has built up a faithful clientele of regular customers from a wide area and it’s easy to see why as you walk through the door.

Proud to support local suppliers, this well stocked Farm Shop’s top quality beef is supplied by Doherty & Gray (Ballymena) and Topping Meats (Larne), its popular poultry range is supplied by JS Foods (Randalstown) and its superb pork by Galgorm Meats.

Ferguson’s, which had a very popular shop on Ballymena’s Church Street for more than 70 years, is renowned for its own homemade sausages, burgers and vegetable rolls which can all be bought at the Farm Shop.

Ferguson’s black and white puddings, which are still made to the 100-year-old recipe handed down through the family to current owner Thomas Ferguson by his grandfather, also called Thomas, are, quite simply, legendary.

Located at 65 Dreen Road, opposite Queen’s Park, the shop also carries a range of tasty accompaniments and ‘sides’ by Barrs of Ballymena including coleslaw and potato salad.

It stocks a variety of other locally sourced treats and essentials too, from cakes and pastries to bread and eggs.

Customers can also take advantage of various money-saving offers including specially priced meat packs and discounts of up to 20% off many items.

Why not call in to the shop and see them for yourself? It’s open Tuesday, Wednesday from 9-5pm; Thursday and Friday from 9am-6pm; Saturdays from 9am-3pm. You can call the Farm Shop on 25880092 to find out more.

Owner Tommy Ferguson says: “We’re delighted with the first year in Cullybackey and we would like to thank all our customers for their support. We know they appreciate that we are supporting local suppliers and that is something that we are proud to do.”
