Local site manager wins quality & excellence award

SITE Manager for local house builder Acorn Homes, Alan White has been has been awarded an NHBC national Seal of Excellence for exceptional quality construction on the company’s flagship Cornmill Country Estate development in Kells & Connor.

An NHBC Seal of Excellence is the highest accolade that can be bestowed on a site manager and it reflects the exceptional standards of build quality that are only found on a handful of developments throughout the UK.

Alan and the team from Acorn attended a Gala awards ceremony in the Culloden Hotel on November 4, where against stiff competition he went on to win a national Seal of Excellence.

As an added bonus the MTV music awards were held on the same evening in Belfast and its been rumored that Lady Gaga was seen asking Alan for an autograph.

NHBC regional director David Little and Ballymena Town Mayor Hubert Nicholl officially presented Alan with his award on the winning development this week.

When asked what the award means to him Alan said:“I’m tremendously proud and its fantastic to see that the hard work, effort and dedication of the entire site team has been recognized by the NHBC. As a team we take great pride in our work and treat every property that we construct as if it were our own – it’s a great feeling and incredibly rewarding to work closely with a client tailoring a new home around their own individual needs.”
