Networking event for Ballymena

Despite the phenomenal growth of the internet and social media, old-fashioned face-to-face meetings still have a vital role to play in growing your business and making new contacts. T

That’s the view expressed by Thomas McKillen, the President of the Ballymena Borough Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The organisation, which aims to promote, develop and protect the interests of all businesses within the Ballymena Borough, is this month hosting a FREE networking event to enable current and potential members to come together and make new connections that could grow their businesses.

Mr McKillen said, “While there is a lot to be said for getting online and connecting with customers and colleagues via social media, we believe that face-to-face interaction is key to building trust and cementing solid working relationships. Doing business in these economically challenging times is tough enough so this event will be free and hopefully allow you to see the value of the connections that can be made right here in the area.

“Anyone attending will get the chance to meet like-minded business people, create new business relationships and opportunities as well as hear from one of our members.

“So if your diary is free then come along on Thursday 26th September to the Adair Arms Hotel at 8am and bring plenty of business cards. There will be a light breakfast and we hope to have it concluded by 9.30am. Non-members will be very welcome.

“This is all part and parcel of our work where we encourage business growth and promote and develop the Ballymena Area as a prominent place to do business and advantageous location for industry.”To reserve a place please contact Chris Wales at [email protected] or by telephone 07876 758797 no later than Monday 23rd September.
