Support is on the way to entrepreneurs in Ballymena and the wider Mid & East Antrim borough in the form of Pop Up Shops.

Council has agreed, at committee level, as part of the local authority’s Town Centre Covid Recovery programme to offer support through 12 months’ trading at three pop-up shops across the borough.

The council’s Growth Committee recently agreed to facilitate a year’s retailing through a ‘pop-up’ shop in Ballymena as well as in Larne and Carrick.

This is the fifth year that the council has supported the provision of ‘pop-up’ shops in the borough and has agreed to match fund £27,000 from Department for Communities through a Covid-19 Recovery Revitalisation Programme.
