Bible inspires winning words from Cullybackey College pupils

Cullybackey College is celebrating success in national writing competition - The Schools’ Bible Project 2020.

Year Nine pupil Ewan Clarke won third prize in the UK, which included book prizes for himself and £100 for the school. 

Other pupils including Harvey Hull 9A1, Marc Gordon 9A5, David Mark 10A4, Samuel Hanna 11A1, Emma Glendinning 11A2 and Jacob McKinney 9A2  received book prizes to acknowledge their excellent standard of work.

Pupils were required to select and carefully study a Bible passage from The Wedding at Cana, Christ Calms the Storm at Sea, The Raising of Lazarus, Angels Announce the Birth of Christ or The Resurrection and then write about the event as if they had been present.

A schools spokesperson said: “Well done to all the pupils for the excellent work produced for this competition.”
