The finalists in the Challenge, which is sponsored by Cool FM and Downtown Radio, compete to see which school can raise the highest amount of money, with the winning school receiving a £3,000 grant on top of their fundraising.

A Castle Tower school spokesperson said: “We really want to win, this money could adapt our outdoor facilities and help install a much needed disability swing to benefit all pupils. Our goal is £10,000.

“Please, more than ever, we need your help.
