Seven Towers Leisure centre is venue for anti-smoking sessions

Smokers in Ballymena are being urged to prepare for battle and attempt to give up cigarettes for good on No Smoking Day which takes place on Wednesday 12 March 2014.

This year’s campaign has a ‘V for Victory’ theme and Ballymena Borough Council will be providing information sessions at the Seven Towers Leisure Centre. The event is open to members of the public and all staff employed by Ballymena Borough Council.

Jonathan Wylie, Leisure Services Manager, said: “No Smoking Day is a great opportunity for us to encourage and support smokers in Ballymena to quit alongside hundreds of thousands of other people across the UK. We know that quitting isn’t easy but we want to reassure smokers that support is available to them and that they can win the battle against cigarettes.

“There’s a much higher chance of succeeding with support and this is why Ballymena Borough Council is spreading the word to smokers about the range of services and resources which are locally available to them. This is crucial to helping smokers on the road to victory and towards a healthier smoke-free life.”

If you are interested in attempting to give up cigarettes, come along to the Seven Towers Leisure Centre on 12 March 2014. The event will run from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. For further details please contact Peter Gregg at the Seven Towers Leisure Centre on 028 2564 1427 or email: [email protected]
