Top RCN post for Braid Valley nurse

A nurse based at Ballymena’s Braid Valley has been elected Chair of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) Northern Ireland Board.

Fiona Devlin has been nursing since qualifying in 1989 and currently works for the Northern Health and Social Care Trust as an intermediate care co-ordinator. Her main area of expertise lies in adult community nursing but she has held posts at staff nurse and sister/team leader level in both the acute and community settings, as well as in the independent sector.

Fiona said: “The focus throughout my career has been about making a difference. I believe that I can continue to do this effectively through my work within the RCN in supporting members at every level to ensure that health care is safe, effective and centred on patients.
