ARCHES holds training open day

WEDNESDAY, September 7 is ARCHES Open Day for training.

The training rooms in ARCHES House will be open to the public from 9am to 8pm so that you can call in and see all the facilities, talk to tutors and staff, have a go at some of the activities and enrol for whatever course you want.

ARCHES has been delivering training since 2000/2001 and during that time upwards of 5,000 people have benefitted from the courses organised in ARCHES.

David Boyle, community development officer with ARCHES, commented: “Our prime aim is to offer affordable training to the people of the area on their doorstep without the need of travelling long distances.

“Secondly, we try to organise a timetable that is flexible in terms of content and timing to suit the needs and wishes of our students.

“And thirdly, we do make learning fun! Many adults are reluctant to enrol for training because of previous bad experiences or whatever, but the feedback we receive from students assures us that we are pressing the right buttons. We pride ourselves on delivering classes which are conducted in a relaxed and friendly manner.”

So if you need some training or just a nice hobby to fill the long winter evenings do pop along to ARCHES and find out what you can achieve.
