Celebrate 1st anniversary of ‘The Kitchen’

What a fantastic first year for ‘The Kitchen’ it has been, with shoppers coming from all over Northern Ireland being offered the opportunity to have a sit down, enjoy a cuppa and a tasty snack or a delicious home-cooked meal during their visit.

To mark this occasion, Hillstown are holding a Christmas Open Day this Saturday, offering customers the chance to sample the delicious range of locally produced food on offer.

Delicious free range meat and poultry will be cooked to perfection for you to try and enjoy, all of which was reared on the adjoining farm.

With the big day fast approaching, orders are now being taken for Christmas turkeys and Hillstown Farm shop have everything you need for a delicious feast-from geese and ducks to venison and gammons.

There is also full range of Christmas gifts, festive fayre and desserts, making Hillstown Farm Shop the perfect place to get all your holiday essentials, the Christmas Open day gives customers the chance to taste all that’s on offer.

Don’t forget to sample some of Hillstown fantastic beer brewed directly on the farm, a superb Christmas treat for a loved one.

Proprietor Nigel said: “This is a great way of showing customers the free range meat and poultry and everything we have on the order form will be available to sample.

“Staff will be on hand to take orders and help ensure you have everything you need for a stress free feast on the special day.”

Of course ‘the Kitchen’ grows from strength to strength and whether you fancy a breakfast fry, coffee and a scone for your elevenses, a light bite at lunchtime or even afternoon tea, the Hillstown Kitchen offers plenty of food for thought.

From sandwiches and soups to pies, paninis, lasagne and much more, there is an extensive menu featuring food freshly made everyday on the premises.

Enjoy tucking in to your selection of tasty treats in this spacious coffee shop with a farmhouse feel which is wheelchair and child friendly.

The cafe, which has for up to 40, offers the perfect start to your retail outing to Hillstown Farm Shop. There you’ll find a superb range of beef, lamb and pork which has been born and raised on the Logan family’s adjoining farm.

Nigel said it’s simply using only the finest locally sourced produce that draws customers back again and again. Hillstown really does bring the goodness of the farm right to your table and they offer much more than quality meat.

Nigel says: ”We sell locally produced fruit and vegetables, buns and cakes, jams, cheese and sauces. We also make an extensive range of cooked products, ready meals and desserts.

“All the meat we sell is free range and has been born and reared on our farm. We also sell locally produced jams, cakes, tray bakes and cheeses. We also attend St. George’s Market every Saturday.”

In the past year Hillstown have added another major award after being given a Great Taste Award for their beer-fed beef, which is available to sample during the very popular steak nights.

Steak nights and in the run up to Christmas Hillstown will be holding Christmas nights, which will have food and entertainment to get you in the festive spirit.
