Counterfeit Notes reunion show

The BT Blues Club is exited to announce the return of the Counterfeit Notes to the club on Saturday, April 5.

The Counterfeit Notes were a regular in the early days of the club many years ago.

Some of you will remember them playing alongside Illegal Tender and sharing the stage with the late Jim Gilchrist and the legendary Jim Armstrong (Van Morrison’s Them).

Now after many years they have decided to get back together with a great setlist of old favourites and tasty new material.

The lineup is Chris McGahey (Guitar/Vocals), Conor Crawford (Bass), Paul Looi Bullick (Drums) and Gary Milky Agnew (Guitar).

Many of you will remember the days of old and others will connect the guys to the Stonehouse Blues Band.

The Stonehouse Blues Band played their farewell gig in February after front man Spencer took the decision to hang up the mic due to work and family commitments.

The remaining guys decided to carry on and reform the Counterfeit Notes.

Saturday will see them return to the famous BT Blues Club.

The guys are exited about the venture and promise an exiting range of new songs.

The setlist could be described as a mix of bluesy, dirty rock n roll with a tinge of country.

So folks make sure and get to the official reunion gig and sample it for yourselves.

Stefan Murray will provide support on the afternoon with his range of acoustic blues and rock classics.

Stefan has also played the club but it has been a while so he is looking forward gracing the stage once again.

The doors will open at the usual time of 3pm with music kicking off shortly after 4pm.

Entrance remains at £5 and there will be the usual raffle and prizes. Make this a date for your diary and welcome the Counterfeit Notes back to the heart of the live music scene.
