The ladies of the Crumlin Flower Club held their annual fund raising event at Crumlin Integrated College recently.
This year, Mr Alan Beatty, one of Northern Ireland’s most talented demonstrators, created some stunning masterpieces as he interpreted the theme of ‘Artistic Impressions’.
The chosen charity this year was Cancer Focus NI and a cheque for £1075.00 was presented on the evening to two representatives from the charity, Suzie Colledge and Jan Hall.
After light refreshments, the arrangements were raffled much to the delight of the audience.
Well done to two members of staff from the school, June and Barbara, who were both lucky winners in the draw.
Suzie Colledge, Community Fundraising Officer for Cancer Focus NI, said: “I want to thank Crumlin Flower Club for choosing Cancer Focus Northern Ireland to benefit from their annual fundraising event.
“Thank you to everyone who attended and donated. The event would not have been such a success without you.
“Without your generous support we wouldn’t be able to continue our vital work supporting cancer patients and their families across Northern Ireland.
“Every penny donated on the evening will stay right here in Northern Ireland. At Cancer Focus NI our vision is to see the day when cancer is no longer a life threatening disease.
“Our activities support this vision, from funding research, caring for people who have cancer and supporting their families, to undertaking educational programmes to help people reduce their risk of developing cancer.
“We can only succeed with the help and support shown by the people of Crumlin.”
