Mid & East Antrim Council is celebrating Larne Women’s Institute’s birthday with a floral display that really ‘opens the gate’ to this important organisation
Larne has been enjoying a special floral display, which has become the ‘Gateway’ to an important local and national organisation’s birthday celebrations.
Mid and East Antrim Borough Council’s open space at the junction of Pound Street and The Roddens in Larne, has this year been used to create a colourful flower display to promote the 70th anniversary of the Larne Women’s Institute.
A yellow painted gate, representing the logo of the institute, was also erected at the site and used to display a Women’s Institute sign in special tribute.
Mid and East Antrim’s Mayor, Councillor Audrey Wales MBE met with Larne Women’s Institute President Carole Houston and members at the flowerbed with Council’s Parks and Open Spaces officers, Ben Simons and Neil Steward.
