Forming Words
exhibition on at
Clotworthy House

Antrim Borough Council’s Oriel Gallery at Clotworthy House in Antrim Castle Gardens continues to attract the best of national and
international art.

Forming Words, a stunning exhibition of craft specifically curated for the Gallery by Flow Gallery, London, can be viewed daily at the Gallery until May 10 and
admission free.

The exhibition is based on how form and structure can be inspired by text.

Flow Gallery has asked selected artists to create new work based on a piece of writing of their choice, from poetry to a letter to lyrics.

Jewellery will be exhibited alongside silver teacups, ceramic vessels, tapestries and enamel plates.

The variety of material has resulted in an exhibition that intends to capture the endless inspiration of the
written word.

Cathy Brown, Arts Officer with Antrim Borough Council, said: “We are delighted to be working with Flow Gallery again on this wonderful
exhibition.

2Past collaborations have included Wa Bi Ten: Japanese Craft and exhibitions of craft from Finland and Norway, all of which have been extremely popular with our visitors.”

Artist’s work on display includes Jonathan Boyd, Gary Breeze, Clare Hillerby, Mimi Joung, Aino Kajaniemi, Susanne Matsché, Cecilia Levy, Matthew Raw, Debbie Smyth, Jessica Turrell, Ingeborg
Vandamme, Sophie Wiltshire and Buddug Wyn
Humphreys.
