Galgorm Resort & Spa wins top award for accommodation

The luxurious Galgorm Resort & Spa has outshone competitors at the annual tourism awards ceremony by bagging the prestigious ‘Best Hotel Accommodation’ award.

The gala dinner which took place in the Belfast Waterfront Hall on Thursdaynight marked the best achievements in what was a big year for the industry.

With 30 businesses, initiatives and events awarded on the night, Galgorm Resort & Spa fought off stiff competition for the much-sought after title, which carries one of the biggest honours of the awards.

Speaking afterwards, Yvonne Smyth, General Manager at Galgorm Resort & Spa said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have been chosen by the panel for this particular award, it’s such a huge honour to be recognised by our industry peers and reflects to us that all of the hard work over the past 12 months is most definitely paying off.

“We’ve undergone some major transformations over the past few years and the success we’ve seen as a result has been most encouraging. We want to build upon these achievements and continue to strive to be the best on the island for luxury accommodation.

“This accolade marks an exciting time at the Resort & Spa as we continue to grow as a business and enter into the busiest time of year; summer.

“Just as last year, we have some great offers coming up that guests can take advantage of as we hope to continue to build upon last year’s success.”

This fantastic achievement for Galgorm Resort & Spa is one of many exciting upcoming prospects for the hotel - not least an impressive £1 million renovation to the Upper Great Hall which is taking place next spring.
