The Great Big Purple Picnic is one of the many initiatives organised each year by Action Mental Health to mark Mental Health Awareness Week which this year takes place from May 10 to 16.

The focus of the Great Big Purple Picnic is quite simply about giving people a way to improve their knowledge of positive mental health and well-being and actively supports this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week theme of connecting with nature.

All you have to do is choose an outdoor venue – it could be your local park or your own back garden – and enjoy your Great Big Purple Picnic. Don’t forget to think purple: whether it’s purple bunting, purple picnic blankets, purple wigs or purple drinks.

Register your interest by emailing the team on [email protected] and you will receive a Great Big Purple Picnic fundraising pack.
