Garden party for Ballymena Floral Art Group Awards

The Chairman of Ballymena Floral Art Group Gladys Smyth hosted an awards party in the garden of Ross McGookin to enable fellow members to socially distance due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The winners were: Novice - Rosemary Strange, Intermediate - Eileen McFall, Open - Colleen Hamill, and, a new award presented this year - The Challenge Plate.

The new award criteria is - the person who enters the most competitions within the club (not necessarily a prize winner) and the inaugural winner was Colleen Hamill.

Colleen also won the Sadie Lorimer trophy awarded for entering the most competitions outside the club.

Members can enter a monthly competition with points awarded at the three levels of – Novice, Intermediate and Open.
