They will launch under the Jamie Oliver brand from June and mark the Jamie Oliver brand’s debut into chicken.

Jamie says: “I’m really excited to be working with Moy Park on this new range of affordable chicken products, which uses only British chicken. Together, we’ve created a whole range of beautiful marinated dishes made from higher-welfare chicken.

“We’ve used the finest ingredients to inspire people to get stuck in and enjoy cooking simple, delicious and affordable food that’s full of flavour and sourced in an honest and responsible way.”

Andrew Nethercott, director of brand marketing GB at Moy Park, discussed developing the range with Jamie Oliver: “It was a natural meeting of minds working with Jamie on the range and we’re delighted with the results. Farming is at the heart of our business and we are extremely proud to work with poultry farmers who employ the highest standards on their farms, ensuring sustainability, welfare and product quality are their priorities.

“We believe the Jamie Oliver chicken range demonstrates our shared passion for higher welfare and tasty food that can be produced on a scale that makes quality food attainable for a larger market.”

Katy Read, Compassion In World Farming, Head of Food Business said: “We are pleased the Jamie Oliver brand is introducing a new range of products to include higher welfare chicken, offering consumers an ethical choice when buying prepared meals.”

Made from British chicken and the highest-quality ingredients, the range includes a fool-proof version of Jamie’s Empire Roast Chicken, from his TV show Jamie’s Great Britain – complete with Bombay potatoes and amazing Indian gravy, as well as an authentic American barbecue chicken and a Jubilee Chicken casserole “with attitude”, to spice up Sunday lunch.

The new product range will be stocked in retailers across the UK and Ireland from June 2012.
