Two of the Kells nominees – Sarah Woods and Allison Loudon - were further boosted and inspired when Larne man Thomas McIntyre visited their Group recently.

They both climbed into the outfit worn by Thomas the first night he joined Slimming World, weighing in at over 30 stones.

Sarah and Allison have had success on the generous eating plan, Sarah losing approximately a stone and 42-year-old Allison, who is a glamorous gran to recently born Leah, losing almost two stones.

However, the members voted for Kay Martin who was crowned the group’s Woman of the Year having achieved over three stones of a weight loss and has inspired other members with her commitment and determination.

The Kells & Connor group was recently re-launched by local girl Linsey Blair and runs each Thursday at Community Centre in Glenaan Walk at 7pm. Linsey can be contacted on 07967 807790 for more details.
