Presented by Roberta Johnston, it included hints and tips on materials and techniques, and Roberta proved that tired and dated timepieces can be virtually transformed with a simple ‘lick of paint’. Carol Adams proposed the vote of thanks.

Phyllis Currie was congratulated on the recent birth of her granddaughter, Amelia Anderson, and Rebecca Foster was congratulated on her engagement to Rory Speers on December 20 in London.

The competition for “a wooden ornament” resulted in Eleanor Worthington (1st), Helen Reid (2nd) and Jill Crockard (3rd). Magazine winner was Carol Adams.

The annual ‘Bring & Buy Sale’ attracted a lot of interest on the same evening and members left the meeting with a lot more than they had bargained for imcluding cakes, sweets and jewellery.
