Lee Hedley Band to feature at Braid Real Music Club

FOLLOWING on from the success of recent packed houses The Braid Real Music Club will be hosting another night of ‘real music’ on Saturday, May 11 at 8pm.

This month’s featured artists will be the new Lee Hedley Band.

Lee Hedley has been hugely popular for many years as an energetic singer, blues harpist and front man for local blues/rock bands.

His new band of exceptionally talented musicians consists of Sam Davidson on lead guitar, Laurence Dugan on base, John Gibson on rhythm guitar, and Lyn McMullan drums.

In the first half of the evening they will demonstrate their subtle skills in an acoustic set of classics and originals: but then will go electric and set the Braid a-rockin’ to complete the night.

They are just back from touring in Europe so they will undoubtedly all geared up and ready to blast the Braid.

That will be enough to ensure another brilliant night at the Braid but there’s more.

As a special bonus, The Braid Real Music Club are proud to announce that rising young local artist Sara Crockett, from Ahoghill, will be the opening act.

Sara made a big impression at this year’s Nashville Songwriters Festival in Belfast and so is off soon to perform in Nashville this summer.

Such are the reviews of Sara’s talents that the Club is fortunate to have her perform at the Braid - before she releases her debut EP and travels to Nashville - they will probably want to keep her.

Tickets are only £5. To book, contact the Box Office 028 256 35900 or book online at www.thebraid.com
