Top models, Miss Northern Ireland Rebekah Shirley from Ballymoney, Jayne Higgins from Magherafelt and Lauryn Greer from Portglenone will be taking the catwalk by storm to model all the participant retailer and designer collections across all three nights in October.

Speaking at the recent launch, director of Belfast FASHIONWEEK Cathy Martin addressed the guests on site at FASHIONWEEK’s new home BFW HQ at 11a Bruce Street and outlined what we can expect from the landmark event which will take place from 15 – 19 October across various venues in Belfast.

Cathy said: “Showcasing the best of our local designers and independent boutiques as well as international high street names, this autumn the catwalk will be a sea of colour, style and must-have fashion. We’re loving the blue hues, the coral reds, the plaid and the glorious glitter trends, as well as sharp suiting and oversized coats in terms of the season’s silhouettes.

“At FASHIONWEEK we always aim to showcase the very best style and fashion available to us here in Northern Ireland. It’s great having a wide choice of beautiful models from across the Island to suit our huge variety of retailers. Jayne and Lauryn have been modelling with us for years and are firm favourites with all of our participant shops and brands, we love having them back every season. And to have a Miss Northern Ireland gracing the catwalk is always special so I welcome Rebekah to her first season at Belfast FASHIONWEEK.”

Karen Anderson, brand manager for West Coast Cooler, which sponsors the event, added: “It’s that time of year again and it’s going to be another very busy season of show-stopping fashion, as well as lots of fun off the runway too. It’s hard to believe that we’re continuing on with the ten year celebrations - and with it, the wonderful collaboration that is FASHIONWEEK and West Coast Cooler - so we were very pleased to announce today that we’re renewing our sponsorship agreement for at least a further three years.”
