New Study Centre opening in Antrim

OVER 67,000 children study with Kumon at more than 630 centres across the UK and soon Antrim will have their own centre at Antrim Library in the Town centre.

The Study Centre opens on Tuesday, July 30 and will be open twice weekly on Tuesdays from 3pm to 5.30pm and on Saturdays from 10.30am to 12.30pm.

A spokesperson said: “We’re very excited about the opportunity to bring this excellent programme to Antrim and look forward to working with parents and children to help develop each child’s potential through the individualised Maths and English study programmes which are tailored to your child’s age and ability.”

Established for over 50 years, Kumon’s unique worksheet-based method can help your child to excel academically, develop their capacity for learning independently and boost their all-round confidence.

Once enrolled on a Kumon programme, your child will visit the centre every week and have daily worksheets to study at home. They will begin studying at a level they are comfortable with, consolidating familiar topics before moving on to something new. At the centre, the Instructor will monitor their progress, setting new work as appropriate and encouraging them to take ownership of their learning.

By working at a steady pace with guidance and support, children acquire a strong grounding in Maths and English as well as fundamental tools such as self-motivation, confidence and independence in study, helping them to realise their potential at school and beyond.

The Kumon programmes complement classroom learning, building speed and accuracy and developing abilities such as time management and problem-solving. Above all, the programmes develop independent learners, ensuring each child can study by themselves.
