Out of Africa mission for Ballymena team

Ten young people from various churches in Ballymena built friendships in Cape town during a two-week expedition to the George area.

Their trip was organised by Out of Africa Missions (OAM), a non-profit organization founded in 2004 by Executive Director Pierre Bartels who envisioned strengthening the kingdom by offering the opportunity for missions teams to come and serve in South Africa.

OAM operates a variety of projects aimed at uniting individuals, ministries, organizations and churches in demonstrating God’s love and mentoring people to make a difference in their communities.

The local crew that travelled to South Africa were all within the 17-20 age bracket and thoroughly relished getting good opportunities to tell people there about Jesus.

Team leader, Matthew Campbell said: “We worked in the townships of South Africa with under privileged children. Also, we spent some time undertaking practical tasks such as food drops.”

“A couple of days we also did some street evangelism,” said Matthew, confirming that the young people from Ballymena thoroughly enjoyed building relationships with children in Cape Town during their fortnight away.

Matthew and the team ask that you continue to pray for the work of ‘Out of Africa Missions’ and the people of South Africa.
