“There will also be an armed forces village; a motor village; static helicopters; entertainment stages, live radio broadcasts and lots of model aircraft on show.

“We know visitors may be concerned over car parking, but a number of additional spaces will be available at locations throughout Portrush, which will include the Atlantic Hotel and Bar, Metropole and West Bay.

““Following the air display on Saturday, the fun continues with a spectacular fireworks display delivered by Nemisis Fireworks, as Barry’s of Portrush welcomes everyone to Ramore Head at 9.30pm.

“And of course on the Sunday, September 7, high profile aircraft confirmed to appear at ‘Air Waves Portrush’, will include the Red Arrows as well as two Lancasters, and the Canberra, which I will be particularly looking forward to.”

Support for this year’s Air Waves Portrush has come from the NITB as well as local businesses of the Borough.
