Slideshow: Raceview Mill winter wonderland

The fantastic festive fun continues at Raceview Mill, just outside Ballymena, this weekend with a great selection of gifts, crafts, food and music to enjoy.

Around 100 exhibitors have booked for the event in the charming surroundings of the old woollen mill, which dates back to the early 1800s. The complex was destined for demolition when it was rescued by local photographer and artist Roy McKeown.

Visitors to the event - which runs on Saturday, December 13 from 12 noon to 8pm with late music and from Sunday, 1-5pm - will see the new village square specially lit up for Christmas and be able to wander down Mill lane to visit the many traders there.

You can also drop into the amazing Red Brick café for some of the tastiest coffee and food in the province.

Take the kids to visit Santa in his grotto (only £5) including a gift or listen to Mother Christmas reading stories!

Visit the childrens’ adventure area including a Christmas train, ferris wheel, bungie trampoline, swing boats and much more.

Spend an hour or two chatting to the traders who will be tempting people with delicious samples of local food and drink and don’t forget to pick up your Christmas presents from the craft stalls.

Visit the huge pop up restaurant set under a amazing vaulted brick ceilings, over 100 years old.

Enjoy a drink at the bar, and spend the Saturday evening enjoying music by Pure Blarney.

On Sunday, enjoy lunch at the Winter Wonderland and listen to the superb Rumhogs

Already lots of local businesses are making the mill their new home including architects, graphic designers, web designers, Bowens therapists, art gallery, furniture restoration, craft workshops, quilting workshops, Yoga for babies, teddy bear restoration, baker, the list is growing continually.
