So make sure you put your best foot forward on June 16 and call into the Specsavers store, Fairhill Centre, Ballymena, for your chance to be discovered and follow in the footsteps of Greg Munday, who represented Northern Ireland at the glitzy event last year, finishing a highly credible third.

This year’s search is being fronted by Coronation Street actress, Helen Flanagan.

Valerie Penney, store director at Specsavers Ballymena, added: “Actress Helen Flanagan is a fantastic ambassador for the competition and has really shown people how to make a great fashion statement by choosing the right glasses.

“We see so many people in the store who also look amazing in their specs and want to see all specs wearers enter this competition to show everyone that four eyes definitely are better than two!’
