Success for local Clanmil tenants

Clanmil Housings Director of Housing, Colette Moore with Margaret McNeill from Raglan Place, who picked up the prize for Best Use of a Difficult Space on behalf Samuel and Rebecca Kirkpatrick at this years Clanmil in Bloom awards presentation.

Gloonan House were awarded as “Best Independent Living Scheme” while Raglan place came first in the ‘Best use of a Difficult Space’ category in this year’s Clanmil in Bloom competition.

The competition is run each year by Clanmil to acknowledge and reward those tenants who take a keen interest in keeping the green spaces around their homes looking the very best they can.

Residents from Gloonan House and Raglan Place were presented with their award by Cherrie McIlwaine, host of BBC Radio Ulster’s Gardeners’ Corner, at a celebration event at Dungannon. The event provided an opportunity to highlight all of the hard work that goes into making the gardens at Clanmil’s housing schemes look first class.

This year the standard of entries from Clanmil schemes throughout Northern Ireland was extremely high, and the judges had a difficult job choosing the winners, but the gardens at Gloonan House and Raglan Place really stood out.

Residents at Gloonan House were awarded with £150 worth of spring/summer flowering bulbs and residents at Raglan Place were awarded with £50 worth of spring/summer bulbs.
