Tatler awards for Spa at Galgorm

The Spa at Galgorm Resort & Spa has scooped two awards for at the Irish Tatler Spa Awards.

At a gala awards luncheon in The InterContinental, Dublin, last week, The Spa was crowned Resort Spa of the Year and the coveted People’s Choice award.

The judges commented that they were particularly impressed with the continued high standard in the resort, which exceeds expectations across the categories.

From therapist expertise, to innovation shown throughout the treatments on offer to the array of quality products on offer – it proved itself the worthy winner.

For the People’s Choice award which is based exclusively on votes by Irish Tatler readers, The Spa at Galgorm, Galgorm Resort & Spa swept the boards as Irish Tatler readers voted in their thousands for their favourite spas countrywide.

Melissa O’Neill, Senior Spa Manager at Galgorm Resort & Spa, said: “We are absolutely delighted to win both People’s Choice Award and Best Resort Spa of the Year.”

The best is yet to come with the exciting news that Galgorm Resort & Spa opens its £10million expansion on September 1 that will include the creation of a unique indoor and outdoor Thermal Spa Village, the first of its kind in Ireland.

The Thermal Spa Village will be full of exceptional new facilities and include a full leisure pool complete with polished pebble floor which will gently massage pressure points in your feet, assisting blood flow and easing tensions.

Now in their sixth year, the Irish Tatler Spa Awards in association with Häagen-Dazs commends the best spas in the country.

Awards being presented in 10 categories, included Best Specialised Treatment, Best Body Treatment, Best Facial Treatment, Innovation, Best Package, Best Spa Therapist, Best Service, Readers Choice as voted by Irish Tatler readers, and the coveted Irish Tatler Spa of the Year.

An expert judging panel spent the last few months travelling up and down the country rediscovering old favourites, trying out the newest treatments and hand picking Ireland’s most fabulous spa experiences.

The Irish Tatler Spa Awards sets benchmarks in quality, innovation and service for spas around the country.

The glamorous ceremony and luncheon was attended by 120 guests from spas all over Ireland and hosted by Harmonia chairwoman Norah Casey.
