The Fabulous Baker Brothers set for Dalriada Festival

WE all know our local food is second to none and this Friday two of TV’s hottest chefs will be showing us how to turn up the heat using produce from Glenarm.

Tom and Henry Herbert will cook mouth-watering Glenarm organic salmon andtender shorthorn beef from the estate in the courtyards of the beautiful Glenarm Castle on Friday, July 13.

Demonstrations will take place at 11am, 1pm, 3pm, and 5pm in the fine food courtyard where there will also be an opportunity to sample local artisan produce such as Glastry Farm Ice cream, Tempted cider and Armagh apple juice.

Adrian Morrow, Glenarm Castle Estates Managing Director, said: “The Glens of Antrim are known for producing some of the finest food in the country. We want to celebrate the quality and diversity of the food in the area and also give people a chance to taste new flavours and enjoy something different. It’s great to have Food NI supporting us this year and we are all really looking forward to the food and fun of the festival.

“We have made sure that whatever the weather visitors will have a great time, with the courtyards and event areas all covered against the rain or indeed baking sun!”

Michele Shirlow, Food NI Chief Executive, said: “Northern Ireland is growing its food reputation and the fine food courtyards will be a really special experience. Visitors will be able to enjoy the finest foods and engage with world class chefs.
