The Wild Duck cleans up at awards

Last week in the Ballymena Council Excellence Awards The Wild Duck was awarded the prestigious Innovation Award and the week previous to this the company almost took every award on the stage at the County Antrim Pubs Of Ulster Awards.

The company were winners in ‘Best Family Friendly Pub’ for the second year running, they were also winners in ‘Most Innovative Pub’’ and they were the overall winner in ‘Pub of the Year’ Category. They also were voted second place overall in County Antrim for ‘Food Pub’ and ‘Neighbourhood Pub’’.

With these awards the respected bodies have assessed The Wild Duck to demonstrate a proven ability to develop innovations and processes that substantially improve the company.

They have been assessed and certified to offer an enjoyable eating establishment where culinary standards are inspiring and also a customer service level that exceeds expectations and encompasses a warm family friendly environment.

The Riverside Suite has a magnificent romantic feel with extravagant drapes on the ceiling, exposed natural stone illuminated with candle wall lights and a stunning pitch pine arched bar and surroundings.

Live entertainment is provided by great bands every weekend in the bar area and the restaurant hosts an a la carte menu evenings and weekends with a beautiful traditional lunch on Sunday being served.
