If you enjoy going for a stroll and are looking for a more challenging type of walking then why not try the Nordic Walking classes which take place at Antrim Forum every Wednesday evening from 6.15pm- 7.15pm.

Using specially designed poles, Nordic Walking is a very effective cardiovascular workout that strengthens your back, legs and arms as well as reducing neck and shoulder tension. Increasing your heart rate by up to 20% and burning around 450 calories per hour, Nordic Walking is suitable for all ages and abilities.

“The Nordic Walking classes offer an enhancement to ordinary walking and our qualified instructor will be on hand at each class to show you the correct technique.

“Each session will take participants on some of the most scenic routes of Antrim and you’ll also get to enjoy fresh air, exercise and socialising with like-minded people. You’re guaranteed to have fun.”

Nordic Walking classes take place every Wednesday, 6.15pm-7.15pm at Antrim Forum until September 24 costing £1.50 each.
