Winter flavours at McGroggan’s ice-cream

McGroggan’s Ice Cream was first opened in 1922 and has been serving up traditional homemade ice cream for over 90 years.

Decades of service have produced family traditions that continue in the present day as McGroggan’s Ice Cream stick to the tried and trusted methods that have been studied by other producers in the area.

McGroggan’s Ice Cream began life in Broughshane Street, Ballymena but as the family business expanded so to did their most famous product.

You can now find their classic ice cream in McGroggan’s Broughshane Street and William Street shops in Ballymena and further a field with a shop in Broughshane village.

As factory manufacturing becomes more common in the 21st century McGroggan’s Ice Cream can proudly boast to be one of the few remaining homemade producers in the area.

Years of local service and trusted traditions have produced a classic taste that has customers coming back for more.

Despite these traditions McGroggan’s Ice Cream are always looking to introduce new exciting flavours to the local public and offer anything from 10 to 15 different flavours throughout the year.

The latest offerings include the Christmas favourites Bailey’s ice cream and Winter Fruits.

Both flavours always prove a hit throughout the festive holidays and taste great alongside some Christmas pudding or on their own as an after dinner desert.

As a small independent business McGroggan’s Ice Cream always strives to keep its customers happy and offer everything including sweets and chocolates alongside the sweet cones and tasty tubs for their ice cream.

You could grab a small helping for browsing the Ballymena shops or get something bigger (up to 2 litre tubs) to take home for the family desert.

McGroggan’s Ice Cream celebrate their proud award-winning history but are ready to move forward with a new website and social media sites coming early 2014. Be sure to have a look.
