25th Anniversary services at Cullybackey Elim

THE ELIM Church in Cullybackey commenced in a very modest building in Pottinger Street in 1919, and in the year 1954, a new building was erected on the same site.

The church grew in membership and a move to better facilities was necessary. This became a reality in 1988 when a new church building was erected on the Shellinghill Road and later a suite of halls was added to accommodate the children’s and youth work.

The new church was opened on February 6. 1988 and to mark the occasion Special 25th Anniversary Services have been arranged, commencing on Sunday, February 3 when Pastor John Harris will be the speaker at the morning service at 11.30am and Pastor William McCandless will speak at the evening service at 6.00pm. Both these pastors were involved in opening services.
